A Taste of Home: Authentic German-style Pretzels, Homemade Breads and Pastries
When the Athol Farmer’s Market is open May through September (Fridays, 2-6pm), Constance’s homestead comes alive with fresh plant starts in her greenhouse and raised garden beds. She’s busy in the kitchen making traditional German-style pretzels and a selection of homemade breads and pastries. Year-round preorders are always welcome, making it easy to plan ahead for your favorite items. When the farmers’ market closes at the end of September, Constance shifts her focus to private orders. Make sure you don’t miss out on her selection of German Christmas goodies like Stollen, cookies etc.
During the year, Constance gets creative and plans to offer some other treasures and crafted items from the homestead, including organic homegrown lavender sachets, soaps, tea bags, candles, wreaths, Advent wreaths, and handwoven pine needle baskets—each one reflecting the care, seasonality, and craftsmanship of homestead living. Stay tuned and check in for updates!
